Coupling brief Sep 04, 2018

Coupling is also known as couplings. A mechanical component used to firmly connect the active and follower axes of different bodies together to rotate and transfer motion and torque. Sometimes it is also used to connect shafts with other parts (e.g. gears, pulleys, etc.). Often by two halves of the composite, respectively, with a key or tight fit and other joints, fastening on the two-axis end, and then in some way the two halves joined together. The coupling can compensate for the offset (including axial offset, radial offset, angular offset, or synthetic offset) that occurs between the two axes due to inaccurate manufacturing installation, deformation at work, or thermal expansion, as well as mitigation of shock and vibration absorption.
